Yohei Nishimura (Japan)

Yohei Nishimura graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Tokyo University of Education (now renamed as University of Tsukuba). Yohei Nishimura has been a teacher of the primary unit of Chiba Prefectural School for the Blind, teaching the children with visual disability to create three-dimensional artwork by modeling clay. In 1977, Nishimura received Foreign Minister Ceramics Exhibition Award. In 1990s, Nishimura coached people with impairment in Nepal’s Technical & Skill Development Centre and America’s Governor Morehead School. Nishimura has also been an exhibition curator and conducted Touch Art workshops in Hong Kong. Nishimura is currently a Professor of Japan Women’s University.

Oum Jeong Soon (Korea)

Graduated at College of Fine Arts, Ewha Womans University, Korea (1983) and Graduated Akademie der Bildenden Kunst in München, Germany (1988), Oum was the Associate Professor in Fine Art Department of KonKuk University in 1993-1996. In 1996, she founded the ”Another Way of Seeing” art program for the blind. Project like “An elephant Project Tour” and tactile art book “ICON-touching the design” were launched in 2004 and 2009. Oum held solo exhibitions in Korea and abroad from 1987 to 2015 and received the Prize of Credit Lyonnais Art Book. Since 2019,  Oum curated for the Children Space commission of the Seoul City Museum.
